Looking back at the Legend edition of Europe's greatest motor gathering — and the album as an extension of a passion lived on track.
From 2 to 5 July 2026, the Legend edition of Le Mans Classic once again turned the Circuit de la Sarthe into a cathedral of historic motor sport. Thousands of exceptional models, legendary drivers, a unique atmosphere — and amid the excitement, a question we often hear: how do you preserve all of this beyond photographs?
Vita Luminis was there as an exhibitor: a chance to meet collectors, share their stories of track and garage — and show how a bespoke album can become the tangible extension of an unforgettable weekend.

On the track, engines roar for an hour. On paper, under an artist's hand, they can roar for decades more.

An open-air museum, a memory to build
Le Mans Classic is not only a race: it is a meeting of generations of enthusiasts. Prototypes from the 1920s, seventies GTs, Group C cars — so many chapters a collector sometimes struggles to link in their own story.
That is where a Vita Luminis album comes in: not to replace the emotion of the moment, but to extend it. Each page can hold an illustration of the car seen that weekend, a sketch done on site by one of our partner artists, or a commission from your own photographs afterwards.

An A4 illustration: the memory of a line, a colour, a grid number.

From the paddock to the page
Patrick Brunet, Mike Harbar, Gasoline MAAB or Damien: our partner artists share the same fascination for the lines of sports and prototype cars. Their eye — pencil, airbrush, pastel — captures what a photo sometimes freezes poorly: the character of a machine, the patina of a body, the light of a July evening in the Sarthe.
Several visitors to the Vita Luminis stand thus began, after the Classic, the first chapter of an album devoted to « their » Le Mans: the car they brought, the one they dream of owning, or the one their father drove thirty years ago.

Next rendezvous
The season of major events continues — concours d'élégance, shows, collector gatherings. If Le Mans Classic inspired you, let's talk: an album is not designed in a day, but it can begin with the memory of a single weekend.
